If you want to build a house, you need a foundation first and that has to be solid.
Similarly if you want to build health, you need a solid foundation on which health should be built.
That solid foundation is adopting and following a healthy lifestyle.
Basics of a healthy lifestyle:
1. Healthy diet is low fat, low salt, high fibre diet with plenty of fruit & vegetable.
2. Regular exercise - about half an hour a day for 5 days a week.
3. Adequate sleep - body restores itself during sleep and you wake up fresh. Avoid late nights.
4. No smoking as smoking has no positive health benefit. Not even e-cigarette which has nicotin in it.
5. Stop or at least reduce alcohol intake.
If you are over 50, take a ‘Multivitamin with iron’ tablet daily.
