Principles of healthy lifestyle

In my opinion, we should all try to adopt a healthy lifestyle although it may not be easy. Try to do as much as you can. Healthy lifestyle involves the following: - Healthy diet. High fibre, low fat, low salt, low sugar diet. - Exercise - does not have to be formal. You can do gardening, cleaning and vacuuming the house, go up and down the stairs etc. Aim is to move all parts of the body which will ensure that blood reaches every part of the body. - Adequate sleep. Everything in moderation is allowed except smoking. In my opinion, smoking does not have any health benefits whatsoever. Do not worry. Do whatever is right. Leave the rest to someone up there! Ideaas on healthy lifestyle

In brief, healthy lifestyle involves the following:

Diet - low fat high fibre diet including fruit and vegetables.

Exercise - moderate regular exercise like walking, jogging etc.

Sleep - no day time nap. No late nights - spoils the next day. 4 to 8 hrs of sleep.

No smoking.

Avoid alcohol if possible. Otherwise, 21 units/wk for adult males and 14 units/wk for adult females with two alcohol-free days per week.

Make this a life-long habit.

Occasional exceptions is acceptable, in my opinion. Otherwise, it may become too tedious and boring.
